I have a special number to call to see whether or not there will be mail delivery in Denver for its employees in the Colorado/Wyoming District due to the Blizzard in our area.
Govenor Owens has issued a State of Emergency for the whole state specifically the Eastern portion of Colorado. The airport is shut down,so that means mail going out of state and/or incoming mail is non-existent today Dec. 20th,and possibly tomorrow Dec. 21st till at least 12 noon.
Any employees that need to know whether or not they should try to report to work on Thursday Dec . 21st are in limbo right now.
I have a number to call a 1-888 number but will not list it here so as to not have people calling it that are not employees wondering whether they will get mail tomorrow or not.
My feeling is that the postmaster of Denver should shut down operations for 1 day tomorrow during this blizzard to prevent any unfortunate accidents or hardships of postal employees.

Okay - so the first foot of snow was somewhat managable, but with the second foot of snow starting to come in, I don't know what to do with myself. Anyone here in Colorado facing the blizzard?

Living in Pittsburgh Pa, and absolutely hate it! I love the mountains in Denver and the weather. I don't mind the snow that much.. Love the beaches in Sandiego, but everything seems so expensive! Denver doesn't seem that bad it's reasonable... What should I do?

My husband and I may be moving to the Denver area and we are looking for advice. We would like an area close to DIA, a young community with kids (we have a one year old), good shopping and restaurants, good people, low crime, good schools...just a good community in general. Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thanks!

I have heard about how Colorado people don't like Californians etc. Well, I don't like them either. I am originally from Ohio and want to raise my family in a better place value wise. If I tell people I am from Ohio but lived in California for awhile, will that help the discrimination? I hope so. We are moving because it seems so much more down home there.

have narrowed it down to two builders in two neighborhoods and need some advise. I have offers in at Tallyn's Reach and Tollgate - Both are at 70 - 90 thousand dollars cheaper than they list for. Tallyn's Reach is 2800 sqft - Gorgeous upgrades and attention to details - solid granite etc. Beazer is the builder, this one had no landscaping or fencing (my expense after closing) and only partial basement. This house backs to Smoky Hill and intersects Arapahoe Rd. (major street)Tollgate is a 3200 sqft DR Horton home, full basement, not as many upgrades but nicer lot - backs to future park space. Fencing and landscaping is included and DRH pays 2.5% of closing cost (Beazer will not). I only want to be in the home for 4-6 years. I think Tallyn's has a better chance for resale as the community is more exclusive, and the home is perfect family size. Tollgate house is the largest model, needs upgrades and I am worried about pricing myself out of the market when I go to sell. Both = 4bed/3bth/3ca
