I'm not in Colorado, but have been in a few blizzards, and ice storms that keep a body in doors! I know what that cabin fever is like. Find games to play, catch up on your reading, answer questions on yahoo, do some baking, spring clean the house in time for x-mas. There are things to do to help keep you from going bonkers! When the blizzard is over, and you can go outside, Oh what fun it is to play in all that snow!
I grew up in Chicago, and was 10 when the blizzard hit in 1967.
My sister and I built igloos in the back yard, and had tunnels going from one to the other, it was warm inside of them. Then our brother came and stomped them in, we wanted to bury him in it! Ha ha. We still laugh about it! Those were the days.
Snow ball fights, sledding, building snow men, and making a few dollars going out and shoveling snow for the neighbors!
It won't last forever! So just make the most of it, make some hot cocoa, most of all stay warm!
I live in Arkansas now, we get more ice than snow here. And sometimes lose power. So, we keep candles and lanterns ready.
Right now it is light jacket weather! But that could and most likely will chang soon if you are gettin a blizzard! I'll be ready!!

I'm here in Colorado Springs and the blizzard is horrible. We have atleast 12-15 inches and it hasnt let up since it began! We are supposed to get up to 5 more inches by morning, and the snow and wind will continue til tomorrow. Its not going to be a severe, however. My husband got sent home from work and on the way back, had to help push 3 cars up a hill and had to have his car pushed as well. All the flights got canceled, which means the local airport here will be a nightmare tomorrow and Friday. Thank goodness I fly out Monday!

In Colorado Springs, and yes cabin fever to the worst degree! Then my internet was down, using someone else's computer now. The Christmas lights do look pretty with all the snow. But right now , I have about 8 stray cats/kittens in garage who are depleting the food supply! Yikes! Friends went out shopping and they were helping cars that were stuck. Several roads in the springs may be closed still due to the fact that a lot of cars were stuck out there still. Kinda neat to see us (CO) on CNN and weather channel. Crested Butte was sunny skies Weds on the news!!

i'm getting cabin fever each summer season. The temps indexed right here are brutally intense and that i in basic terms flow out whilst i % groceries. when I say do no longer flow out, I propose i do no longer even open the door. all the homestead windows and ceiling vents are lined with installation. that's like a cave. This 365 days I did flow and play taking part in cards two times a week. I had much less cabin fever. this is finally down into the 90s now. getting extra suitable.

Denver Capital Hill area here! We have been stuck since the later part of yesterday. I have just been watching TV, and surfing the net. I have the fire going, plenty of junk food and hot coco, so I'm all set. I'll probably walk to the park when the snow lets up and take some photos. Have fun Denver!

Yes, I am in Lone Tree, over by Park Meadows, and this blizzard is awful. I got off work yesterday around 12 and I did not get home until after 2pm (driving from dtc to my house). I have a little over 2ft of snow now and my neighborhood hasn't been plowed. I'm happy being off from work, I just wish I would have went to the grocery store yesterday.

Well. I'm stuck here too. We just finished shoveling driveway, because our car got stuck, couldn't make it up our incline. Luckily we are well stocked in food. Made hubby and I comfort food for lunch and plan the same for the next day and a half. Going to start a fire, wrap some presents and hopefully watch a Christmas movie.
Hey, could be worse, we could be stuck at DIA with NOTHING to do and NO PLACE to sleep. Stay warm!

You are doing the right thing - stay inside and warm! Do you ever loose power during snow storms? I'm imagining what it must look like there, with all the snow coming down, swirling around, white and bright.........*sigh*
Here in Georgia it's 50ish and does NOT feel like Christmas at all! Do me a favor -- snuggle deeper into your sweater and smile - you are actually experiencing winter at Christmas time! Our winter weather will arrive in late January or early February IF it arrives at all!
Merry Christmas!
