Yeah, the mountains! Breckenridge is a very awesome town, and is less pretentious than Aspen and Telluride. Estes Park is scenic, but touristy. If you drive up from Boulder to Nederland (fun place), then go see the great mountains along the peak to peak highway, and have a beer in Estes Park, that's a great afternoon!

The mountain towns rock! Depending on what time of year you are going, you want to avoid the off season in most mountain towns.

My favorites... Aspen, Breckenridge, Vail, Telluride, and if you are passing through Glenwood has some cool things. Downtown Denver is always fun including lodo and the Central Platte Valley.

Telluride to skateboard (eat at the Fedora), Grand Junction to hike at the Monument, Cripple Creek to gamble, Royal Gorge for the gondola ride, Black Canyon to watch the peregrine hawks (awesome), Blue Mesa Lake fishing (this time of the year only), and the Dominguez Escalante Canyon for a car drive (and maybe more fishing, depending upon snow). Don't miss Black Canyon or Dominguez Escalante. Absolutely beautiful.

Sure...do you like outdoor stuff or indoor. Great National park just outside Denver...Rocky Mtn. National Park. Then there is Colorado Springs, beautiful, 1 hr south of Denver. Glenwood Springs...natural hot springss...great resort lodge. Mesa Verde Nationa park in southwest Co...amazing , huge cliff dwellingsl. In Denver...go to Casa Bonita...very unnique, charming Mexican restaurant. Also go to the 16th st mall...large shopping section for pedestrians.great shops. and restaurants...has free trolley. The Museum of nature and history in Denver is right next the the zoo and both are amazingly good...much better than those in bigger cities I have been to. And the Denver Art Museum is fantastic and right next to the Denver Public Library...both have very unique, award winning architecture...just the buildings are great to see!.

Do you have kids? They would enjoy the Swetsville Zoo. It's east of Ft Collins. Take I-25 north, take the first Ft Collins exit (Harmony Rd) and turn right. Follow the signs! This guy has sculptures of animals and other things made from car parts and industrial materials. It's so cool!!!! Kids love it, and adults get a kick out of it, too!
