I have been looking at going to Boston in November, which I thought would be off season, but damn are they pricey. I havent found a resonably priced hotel. Looking fo rang of 50-100/night for family with 7 year old children. I want to be close to attractions and in a decent area. Any suggestions or do i have to end up sleeping in my minivan.. ??? Thank you

We are considering moving to Boston from the San Francisco Bay Area. We live in a really nice suburb right now (great schools, community, outdoor access, etc). Cost of housing is not really an consideration. We want a great community with preferably fantastic public schools. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yet, the MBTA placed a commuter rail into Providence, Rhode Island, and they are planning on expanding it soon into Warwick, Rhode Island.

Will it be snowing at that time? Is it ok to drive from Boston to Portland, Maine in January since there are only two hours drive? I am afraid it will be snowing and it's hard to drive?

now I wonder if I should stay in Boston and take the train daily to Salem with my teenage daughter, I'm afraid the traffic will be awful to drive back and forth, where could we stay in Boston that is close to train, and what hours does it run? I just do not know what to do! If only we could of found a place in Salem.

Me and a friend were arguing about this, and we want to see who's right. I'm guessing it's Wellesley.

Arrive in Boston on a Thursday late and fly out of JFK late evening a week later on Friday. What to do in Boston? Is Martha's Vineyard a must? Daughter studying Salem Witch Trials right now...think that would be cool. Cooperstown a must for Dad...he deserves it. Would love to see changing colors, where are best places. Will be in NYC 3 1/2 days. Daughter also a dancer, how fun to take a class in NYC. Also, pay respects at Ground Zero & Statue of Liberty. Shopping??? Soho???? Greenwich Village???? Where to stay???? Friends suggest hotel at Time Square for best taste of NYC. We plan to rent a car in Boston and drive some of New England States, Cooperstown, etc. and take a train into NYC. HELP!!!! Any suggestions from those who know the cities and love them.
