I've stayed at the following hotels in Boston and would recommend any and/or all of them.

Depending on how much you want to spend will effect which hotel you end up at. All of the below hotels are on the pricey side, but keep in mind that since Boston is a big city all hotels are on the pricey side, although it is less expensive then NYC.
Of course, if you use Priceline you will probably get a better deal but no guarantee of where you stay exactly.

My choices in order of preference are as follows:

Westin Copley Place (very nice hotel and great location)
DoubleTree Downtown (some ppl might think this is in a "bad" part of town... I love it's location, right near China Town and the Boston Common)
Hilton (Back Bay)
Marriott Copley Place
Sheraton (Back Bay)
Boston Park Plaza (good location Copley Place - older hotel)
Hilton Logan Airport (I would only suggest staying here if you need a place to stay before an early flight - it is too far from everything to use as a base for a Boston visit)

I included links below to each of the specific hotels listed above, you can check out prices there.

I've stayed at Langham Hotel Boston which was formerly the Le Meridien. Very nice - about $250 per night but you're 2 blocks from Fanueil Hall.

Right in the heart of the city in the theater district is the Park Plaza or the Radison. Both are great. . . On the water is the Seaport which is gorgeous. Enjoy the city!
