I think you can. Does your turist visa is a laser visa B1/B2? If so then you can enter the USA for business or pleasure. If you are on a valid visa you should be to use it for both purposes.

As long as you are actually not doing any work, you shouldn't need a work permit. You are going in for meetings to provide overviews and training. You really need to speak to the US embassy. After all, it's pointless getting there only to be turned around a passport control.
