I agree with what two of the other answerers said. Two things about Boston grab you right away: 1) it's a major college town with a lot of students, and 2) the world's most rabid sports fans. It's by far a baseball town but football is a close second with the Patriots having won three of the last five Super Bowls. If you'e looking to move here you'll have to learn to deal with expensive property and a huge lack of space (it's a very compact city and Massachusetts is the third most-densely populated state in any case). The city is poorly laid-out and is difficult to drive in and navigate through because there's no grid system (except in the Back Bay section of town). It's modernizing but is still a very old city.

Best city in the world... Period. If you like sports, we've been the top rated sports city in the world for like 10 years now. We are a passionate city about everything. Yeah, we're called beantown, but the city doesn't smell like anything a city shouldn't smell like. Los Angeles is a lot dirtier, i go there all the time i should know, and they don't have the spirit. Go to a red sox game, you will never experience anything like it. Go to a Dodgers game, the stadium isn't even full by the 5th inning. Also, we have some of the best food ever. Of course, we are famous for our seafood, namely lobster, but also the North End has some of the best Italian food i have every tasted. China town has some very good chinese food (i once had fish head soup, it's quite good!) The traffic can get bad, but i can safely say it's better than LA and far better than Chicago (that's a promise).
That's all i have time to rant about for today, but if you have any further questions just ask.

How witty! enable's see, i will flow with those who were real Yankees. None of those "guns for employ" like Reggie Jackson. To me he isn't any longer somewhat a real Yankee. How about Whitey Ford or Ron Guidry or Bernie Williams or Derek Jeter or Yogi Berra? wager i'd ought to flow with Yogi.

It's a great town. Big city feel, but not overwhelming. You can walk everywhere. Tons of colleges, bars, great sports, history. . .There's such a good mix of everything! I love it
