Me and a friend were arguing about this, and we want to see who's right. I'm guessing it's Wellesley.

The richest town in Massachusetts is Weston, and behind it is Sudbury.

"Weston is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 11,469 at the 2000 census.
It is one of the most expensive suburbs in the Boston area and is also the richest place in Massachusetts by per capita income."

The wealthiest town in Massachusetts (in terms of per capita income) is Weston. Wellesley is often confused as being the richest place because it has a much higher population and more commercial businesses than Weston, hence more tax revenue.
Weston has Massachusetts' number one school system according to Boston Magazine (2005).

Chilmark on Martha's Vineyard...it's actually the wealthiest small town in the United States. The next wealthiest town is Weston.

Oh, that's probably a tough one. If not THE, Wellesley is one of the most expensive/wealthiest cities. Others would be either Newton, Lexington or maybe even some parts of Belmont. Other cities in Western MA are just as nice, but cheaper because they are further from the city, sometimes anyway.

Wellesley has a lot of old money, however, Weston is very wealthy as well as Dover and Sherborn. Chestnut Hill is wealthy and so is parts of Brookline (like Fisher Hill). There are other towns heading North, like Swampscott, Marblehead and Magnolia. Heading south, you have Hingham and, toward the Cape, Osterville. To the Islands, Nantucket is expensive. Then, you can head toward the Berkshires where Lenox is pricey too.

Depends what you mean by wealthy. Cambridge has the highest amount of million dollar homes per home in the country.

I would actually guess something like Martha's Vineyard...
