to state my expected salary. I work in the translation and Project manging business. Please keep in mind that I'd like to move to the south of UK and I know it's a bit expensive down there. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!

I'm planning on moving from Australia to the UK in November and I'm hoping to start work straight away. However, I'm meeting family in Scotland during Christmas for 2 weeks and am afraid that if I start an accounts position (which I have experience in) then I'll have to quit the job almost as soon as I start to actually get to Scotland for the Chrissy break. Would it be better just to look for bar work, or something similar, until Christmas, then start my accounts work once I come back...?
