Cheap and GB do not go together at the moment, so research the prices before you commit yourself.
I found the prices fairly even all over the country, with an exception for London that is even more expensive.
In the bigger towns the average price of a BB will be higher than in the smaller towns, but there is a better chance on finding the few cheaper ones.
Be aware that touristy BB's are not geared on long term stays, and that the lodgings for long term stay are mostly overrun by people working or looking for work, often illegal or on a tourist visa, and police might investigate every now and again.
If you plan on living in GB, try a private home, like a nursing home but for people still able to take care of themselves.

Morecambe has some cheap B&Bs but, well, you get what you pay for. Why not hop on the train and visit a few places, see where you fancy then do some research on the area.

This best thing to do is book yourself onto a cruise liner. Sail the seas, see the world before your time comes. You get 24hr food and drink, your own maid, meet new and interesting people every other week and its cheaper than a old peoples home!!!
