I've heard it is an university town
but also heard it is more industrial than anything else

Properties are very inexpensive

Unviersity town....not really.......northhampton uni is not really a proper university in the normal sense, its kind of like the 'university' in Hollyoaks more like a college. Good places to eat, and clean town centre, fairly modern a few decent bars. Like most cities has its rubbish housing estates. there is definitely worse places to live.

No good if you like to hear the sound of waves beating upon a beach though!

Otherwise it's probably a great place. It's what you make it to be that counts.

I haven't been there but my friends are from there and living here (well sedgefield) Their family moved up just last week so it can't be that good
