Been to Guoman before(formerly known as Cumberland), liked it very much. Would like something of that standard and convenience. If there's something cheaper, the better!

My husband and I were driving through England last summer. Our home was in Scotland at the time. There were many places that wouldn't take any money that was from the Royal Bank of Scotland. Why not? It's the same money. Even the parking place at the airport wouldn't take the currency.

Hi There,

I'm a 22 yr old girl from Sydney, Aus planning a move to Scotland. I've been researching a lot (these forums are great!) and have narrowed it down to either Glasgow or Edinburgh. I haven't visited either place for many years so I'd love some advice about which city might be best. I'm half-way through a journalism degree (by distance), and the most important factors are affordability; employment opportunities, and especially a friendly social scene.

Thanks so much for your help,

Ash.

Is the British Pound accepted throughout Great Britain and Ireland?

Are there any fees for using your Australian Mastercard to pay for things overseas?

Can anyone confirm how easy (or difficult) it is to withdraw cash with a Maestro card in Great Britain?

Thanking you lovely people in advance...

I'm a US citizen and I'm applying for a visit visa to the UK. I need a letter of invitation to visit my boyfriend and we're not sure how to write this letter. Should it be typed or handwritten? Does it need to be a letter to me or to whoever recieves my application?

I keep trying to mail a package to a PO Box, and it keeps coming back saying they cannot deliver to a PO Box. I have tried air parcel post and USPS Global Express Mail and have spent hundreds of dollars trying to get it there. Can anyone help?

I currently live in Morecambe, Lancashire and I am getting rather sick of it. Is there any good citys/towns/villages etc where it is cheap to rent.

E.g Under £600pcm to rent a 2bed flat.

Thanks,

J

My newspaper informs me that-The average height of a grizzly bear is 7 feet. The North and South poles sometimes exchange polarity. P. Cruz has a big a ss and if you persevere, you can get a far cheaper train fare from London to Manchester than the standard.

I've been working in Japan for a couple of years, coming back things have changed just too much in my old hometown. I think Swansea might be the perfect fresh start. I live now in Coventry (Earlsdon Area-a little bit of a boho village right next to the city centre great shops nice homes, young-ish vibe little bit studenty).
I'm looking for somewhere similar to settle. I'd like to live between the University & city centre, as these are the 2 most likely places I would work. I do not drive & would have to get about on foot & by bus. I'm still pretty young so close to coffee-shops bars & nightclubs but not above one. Have about 120k & could stretch to another 15k or so if pushed. Would like two or three bedrooms(3 would be better) do not mind if a new build (in fact this might be better than a fixer-up this time round) I do like having space to move about-tiny rooms & houses are not for me. So WHERE should I be looking to live - PLEASE HELP ME you yummy Swansea people.
