im scottish, and ive never been to scotland. id really like to go, so im just curious if any of you have been and have an opinion.

It's extremely beautiful and the people are very warm and friendly. Rolling green hills and long lochs. The bag pipe music is very nice as well. Some of the big cities have very dirty buildings from the years of pollution, but the streets are clean. It has a old-world real charm to everything.

It's beautiful...the highlands are almost magical, and there's such fascinating history there.
Edinburgh is charming, but can be very dirty, and at night you can hear druken Scottish men swearing and fighting, lol.
The people are really friendly and quick to ask if you need help if you look lost looking at a map or something (:

I have only been once, a long time ago and I only went to Edinburgh, but we had a lovely time. We visited the castle and saw the statue of Greyfriar's Bobby and generally had a great time. As I recall it was in September and it got COLD at night. But that was before global warming.....
