There is a site that lets you pick the exact area in Scotland and will then let you check out the facilities - so give it a go! I have always found it very useful.

I'm not sure where in North Scotland that you are going, when or at how much notice.
But have a look here at some places you may visit, check out the pictures, and check the facilities / amenities. Some of the smaller places like Caithness may not have such facilities .... but you never know.
Sometimes a quick phone call by trackign down the hotels directly from their web sites will assist, even if their prices are higher than website prices. Here's some suggestions:
