Hi, Bloomsbury is a good place to be and the Bedford Hotel is a good one.

Please don't listen to the idiot above me, London has its fair share of crime like every other major city including gun crime. Some of our police officers are now armed since the terrorist attacks. Just protect yourself like you would in any other major city in the world.

they don't have crime in London, the cops don't even have guns. The only crime there is talking bad about the Queen or not lifting your pinkie at tea!

There are teenage gangs operating in Bloomsbury like most other parts of London but they are after each other, not tourists.

Bloomsbury has a cluster of tourist hotels, especially Russell Square where I think yours is. It is perfectly safe.

Bloomsbury's a fine place to stay, and safer than most parts of London. It's quite central and easily within walking distance of the West End. One tip.. try and avoid the Kings Cross area late at night. All in all, I hope you have a nice trip.
