The cost in petrol depends upon the distance, the fuel efficiency of your car, the kind of petrol (diesel vs. unleaded) and cost of petrol per gallon.

Reading to Gatwick = 60 miles (approximately)

Assume you get 20 miles to the gallon

Assume unleaded petrol at a 88 pence per liter = 3.7852 (liters / gallon) x 88 pence = 3.31 pounds

Therefore, Reading to Gatwick
60 miles / 20 miles per gallon x 3.31 pounds per gallon = 9.93 pounds (each way)

It depends on your route, time of day and as has been said make of car. Check some of the transport web links like transport direct, it gives an idea of fuel costs etc.
Otherwise there is a direct train journey from Reading to Gatwick, which takes approx 2 hours to arrive (the same as a good car journey) and drops you off into South Terminal.
Don't forget Parking at the Airport is costly and if you are going to the Airport itself very busy. If you are going to one of the areas around the Airport to facility companies, most DO not have visitor parking due to security restrictions. Make sure you check with the company concerned before driving there as to where they are and what parking facilities they have.
Crawley / Gatwick Industrial Estate is a very large area and very restrictive parking wise.

It depends what time of day you are going because of rush hour in london and on the motorways and also what kindof car you have because different cars use up different amounts of petrol.
It shouldnt be too much i dont think. Just go with a full tank and you'll be fine.

Good luck in your interview xx
