Travel (General) - March 2007

I've never been out of the country before and it would be easier to fly from Italy to Spain rather than try and take the rail between the two, but I have no idea how to find out if that is even possible with just a U.S. passport. Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

I am going to be traveling to Brazil this June and don't know which day I will be traveling. Can I still apply for my passport now? As this is a busy time and the new passport laws are out I want to get it done well ahead of time. Can I expedite my passport even if I am not leaving for a few months? the site says that expedited passports are taking up to a month to process. i dont wanna take any chances.

I live in CA (USA) and plan on traveling to Jamaica leaving on April 1st of this year. I applied for my passport on February 13th and still have not recieved it yet. I plan on getting married there and will be absolutely crushed if we can't go and have to cancel everything. The government is backed up with application processes I understand and everytime I try to call I can't get through. I have also emailed with no reply back. All expedited agencies also put you on hold with no customer service person at all. Please any suggestions? I am really going crazy over this and I will be devasted to throw this all away over stupid gov red tape.

I will be travelling to the UK later in the year is it possible to take chocolate biscuits, chocolate bars and tra bags from Australia into the UK if they are sealed?

i know it might seem like a dumb question but i am about to get on a plane for the very first time and i wanted to know what a carry on is. if it's like a smaller suitcase that you can take with you on an airplane, is there a limit on how much it can weigh? and are those the suitcases you put like on top of your seats like on a shelf or something? ok thanx.

I'm a teenager who is trying to plan out a limo deal for Prom this year. If the total fare is going to be $850 for 10-12 people, is a $153 (18%) or a $170 (20%) tip necessary for 10 or so high schoolers to pay?

I noticed on Jetblue that flights to Ft. Lauderdale are super expensive. They usually raise their fares whever there is a holiday or event going on in Florida..and even in the Caribbean (because a lot of people fly to Florida, then take another airline to their final destination in the Caribbean because it can be cheaper that way.)
