Cash, traveler's checks, plastic or a combo of each?

I would take $100 in travelers checks just in case (they can always be used at home or on a future trip). Other than that a little cash for immediate exchanges when I get into a country and then use the atm's for local currency. Credit cards are good for expensive purchases in case there is a problem later that you need to dispute.

Cash, Debit Card, Charge Card. Not everyone takes travel checks.

Don't carry too much cash, just what you need for a couple of days at a time. Use the ATM to replenish, use your credit cards for most everything.

Travelers checks are to bothersome.
