It's March 21 and we're going to the Maritimes for 12 days on July 23. I wish time would just fly by!! Someone please give me advice. Thanks.

buy a scrapbook and decorate the borders of all the pages in some great colors, and decorate the front "Maritimes",...on the inside cover write who is going, there ages at the time the trip will start....ask them to write a note beside their name about how they feel about the upcoming trip.
by the time the trip comes around, you will have a special scrapbook waiting to just slip the show stubs, flower from a table, postcards and so on....any kind of souvenier you want to save will already have a place to go and not get lost or crushed in the suitcase. after you develop (or download & print) your photo's, slip them in the scrapbook next to all the memento's you picked up along the way.
have a great time.

When you are really desperate to pass the time, do internet research on the Maritimes. For example, if you are going to Prince Edward, look up info on Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. You can plan an itinerary, and even if you dont follow the itinerary while you are there, at least you will have a good idea of possible things to do.

If you have been there before, try to find things to do, or places to visit while you are there...places you havent yet visited.

If its your first time, then make a list of places of interest that you might want to visit when you get there.

Or if you like to read actual books, i'm sure Fodors or one of the other travel book companies makes a good book on the Maritimes

Dig!!!!!

Do more research!!!!

Here's a really fun chance to be in a great place, don't miss any of it..............I didn't do any research on my trip to Europe because I wanted it to be "all fresh"...and tho it was 10 months of intense learning with Madrid as a base, I wish I had researched a bit better the culture before I got there...and it's the people and culture that goes home with you ...the pretty pictures fade too quickly....

but you know, when you get home then what??? perhaps you need to look at spicing up your every day too....

buy books on the maritimes and research your trip so you can get the best of both worlds by knowing the area so well you can do the best things, but not have your head stuck in a guidebook figuring out where to go next. and go to the gym. :) and if there's scuba diving there - get certified now!

Make sure you get all the addresses you want of people you will send postcards to.

Buy yourself a small or make yourself a small vacation diary.

Check out what kind of clothes you will need at that time of year and get that in order.

Use this time to plan and get things ready, the time will fly and you dont want to forget anything in your last minute rush to get out the door.

Hope you have a wonderful time. I love Nova Scotia!!

Pick your nose. Try to set a record for how many boogers you can get in one hour.

Stare at people through the tines of a fork and pretend they are in jail.

Wander through the mall and blow kisses at random people. See how many blow kisses back.

Go to a pond and see how many turtles you can stack in a pyramid before they get away.

Design different models of paper airplanes and see how far they fly. Try to get as many as you can onto the roof.

Make prank phone calls about refrigerators.

Collect broken small appliances. Build a "time machine." Put it on your front lawn and wait for customers. Charge them a nickel to enter your time machine, and when they come out, pretend to be a cave man.

Have a lemonade stand to raise money to buy kitsch on your trip.

Take bets on how long it will be before you get a sunburn. Make a photographic blog of your tan line while you are away so the betters can monitor its progress.

Play "guess that scent" with friends and family.

Wow,
that is a very long way away.
The best thing to do, is brag about going.
Also hanging out with your friends is a good way to get time to pass.

I find that eating helps :P

But as far away as that is, there really is no way to make time fly.
