Okay, I'm really confused on the best way to change the american dollar to the mexican peso. Should I exchange some of it before I leave or after i arrive there? If I wait till I get there, should I do it at the airport or the bank to get a better rate? And how about tipping, does anyone know how much I should give someone? And how much American money do you think I should carry?

Wife and I would like to go somewhere in Mexico for our 10 year next spring. I think we were planning on something in the April/May timeframe. We are on somewhat of a tight budget, Is $2500 -$3000 sufficient assuming we live in an area with reasonably priced flights to Mexico?

Looking primarily for recommendations on what areas in Mexico we should be targeting and then possibly what beach and/or accommodations. We would prefer that it be romantic and intimate and not be crawling with kids. Would also like someplace that is not too conservative with dress code if you catch my drift.

Bonus points for anyone who can relate personal experiences in this matter and/or provide links that I can research.
