That depends on you, do you want to simply be on vacation when you get through the customs gate in P.V.? If so, then book from the comfort of your home.. If you staying a a decent hotel you'll have ample opportunity to book excursions, but be a ware that they often ask you to attend a short "Breakfast" meeting. Don't go!!! You'll end up sitting through a lecture on time share and have to deal with some pretty strong sales people. You will also have street merchants trying to sell you various excursions in a package deal. Its all a matter of how you want to spend your time. All of these sales people speak English and are willing to haggle on the price. Have fun either way and if you get a chance, have your cab driver take you to PiPi's restaurant(not Pepe's taco although that is great to.) in downtown PV. Go early, its standing room only after 5:30..... Be careful of the Cadillac margarita!!

Depending upon how long you are going for. I went for a weeek and highly suggest booking when you are there. If you do wait though you have to at least 24 hours prior to the excursion. Prebooking sometimes can be bad, cause you may not feel like doing something or the weather could be bad.
