I was checking out a bed and breakfast website in Chapala, and it said there are no busses from Guadalajara to Chapala.. but Im sure Ive read somewhere that there are.... Im confused!

I am planning on travelling to Mexico to purchase some wood carvings, paintings, ceramics and various decorations for my home.

I heard that the best place to buy goods such as these was Guadalajara.

I also heard that most of the goods sold in such places like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta to the tourists are all manufactured in Guadalajara.

Does anyone know if this is true and if so, can you please tell me where some of the best deals to find such articles would be in Guadalajara i.e. shops , markets , etc.

And and any other shopping tips that I can use. Also any good hotels to stay at while there.

Ok im moving to Atengo Jalisco, Mexico In August. The reason My fiance is from there. We got a house built and everything. I don't know allot of spanish. Is there anything i could maybe buy on the net to help me learn more. And if there is anyone from that area i would like to know more about it. I love him dearly and follow him anywere just to not lose him. I have always loved the culture and Im scared i may not be as welcomed as i wanted to be. Hubby and I are wanting to buy a home with property not too far from Tecoloctlan. We are Americans and would buy it outright. And definately not try to screw anyone over at all.
But......I have heard that Americans cannot buy property in Mexico without having to pay a whole-heck-of-alot.
Please, oh please, .....
..... Anyone that has any recent info about me and hubby buying property in Mexico that we would be living on 12 months out of the year.......Like, we really want to take up residence down there and stay there for the rest of our lives. ...

I've been looking for some deals for online flights to mexico during the christmas time,, and theyre not looking so good... roundtrip ..last time i went (2 years ago) they were like 350-500 roundtrip .. now theyre like 700.. wtf
