take west to Houston, then south to the Mexican border using many roads there are but depend what is the point of entry you want. Laredo is the best because there is a freeway in Mexico's side that takes you to Monterrey, then west to Saltillo 65kms away and from Saltillo south to Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas. Still heading south until Zacatecas and from there you are about 360 kms away from GDL and there are two ways to come; via Aguacalientes using freeways or directly to the south form Zacatecas but you should cross a Oblatos Canyon, a tired trip of about one hour just to enter Guadalajara.
Total kms from Laredo to Guadalajara via Oblatos Canyon: 1,013

You would think in this day and age this would be a simple request. However it is not.

Try Barnes & Noble Bookstore or Border's Bookstore. They usually have these types of maps.

Also the links below. The last one of mapworld.com may be your best bet so far via online.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Go to MapQuest and use "Build Your Route." My experience with Yahoo Maps has been that there's a lot of inaccuracy.
