I have the opportunity to take a year off to "travel" & would like to work at a resort to meet people & practice my spanish. Which resort would you recommend that treats their employees well, would be fun, educational & give me the opportunity to meet really great people? I'm considering Playa del Carmen, MX which is beautiful & I've been there before but they have a lot of rain & I'm a little worried about their hurricaine seasons. If you are from Playa del Carmen (Playacar) please let me know if you would recommend this move.

Im leaving with my family on Monday to Cozumel(mexico) We are staying at the Iberostar, has anybody satyed there since the hurricane?Any recomdations for tourist? What do we need to bring? I have a 16 year old son... and was wondering do I have to keep a eye on him when it comes to drinking? Any helpful hints?

I'm looking to go to either Cancun, or Cozumel. How often are these areas effected during hurricane season? How are hurricanes handled in Mexico? Do the resorts do a good job evacuating or are you on your own? This is probably why vacations are pretty cheap during this time, isn't it?
