Is it a tradition from father to son? How would one decide to do this? Do children dive also?

They dive in Mazatlan too but it's a bit less dramatic

cliffdivers are guys who risk their lives for money, they just dive into the sea and it can be very dangerous. it's not exactly a tradition from father to son, but sometimes kids end up becoming cliffdivers because their fathers are, you know?? it's what they've seen all their lives and they learn to do it since they are little kids. you can decide to do it if you really need money, you just have to go there and i guess that someone will teach you how to do it, you just have to practice

The cliffdivera in Acapulco are in order from oldest to youngest; Malito, Juan, Guiermo, louis, Hector, Pedro, Domingo and Harvey.
