Hey!
I will be going to Mexico City for 5 days in the end of August and will be staying in the historical section of Mexico City. Can anyone answer these questions?
1-How much should a taxi cost from the airport to the historical area? Alternatively is there a bus/shuttle system from the airport?
2-Are taxis expensive in Mexico City? Is there anything i should be watching out for with the Taxis?
3-Is there a bus service in the area? If so is it safe and a good price?
4-What are the costs of general foods in the area? Is restauraunts or supermarkets expensive?
5-Is botteld water expensive there? Should i bring my own water with me?
6-I will be there for 5 days and staying in the historical area but also want to go to see the temples a bit further away. What is the easiest way to see them?
7-I am ther for 5 days. What amount of money should i need for my time there? What is best currency while there? Can i pay for stuf in US$'s? Or do i need Mexican currency?

I want to attend a friend's wedding in Cancun next month. I'm a filipino citizenship residing in Los Angeles. I lost my philippine passport and only have my greencard at the moment. With the current law, a passport is now required to fly from US to Mexico/Canada. Can I walk across the border in Tijuana and fly out of Tijuana airport to Cancun without any problem? I heard that's still ok but only until the end of this year. After that, there'll be a new law requiring a valid passport to cross the Tijuana border by foot....

Going to Cancun soon with family (including 2 teenagers) and thinking about all inclusive properties. Leaning toward RIU Caribe or Royal Solaris closer to Cancun. Also Allegro or Occidental Xcaret closer to Playa Carmen. Not looking to go "top of the line", but don't want to scrape the bottom either. Any opinions....I know Riviera Maya/Playa del Carmen are further, is it worth the hour drive from the airport, etc? Thanks!

I want to plan a trip to cozumel, chichen itza, and cancun, Mexico. I want to go during the down time cause I'm planning to see mayan ruins and temples and know it can get pretty packed, then I want to spend the rest of the vacation near cancun just relaxing near the beach. I want to know when the best time of year to go is. I want it to be not as crouded but nice weather, definitely not during hurricane season. Thanks.
