Major hassles if you take your pet. In the first place they are going to make you have a pet carrier on the airplane. The mexican athourities will keep you in the airport while they pass the question up the line. and when you get back to the US they will confiscate the pet. save yourself time and trouble and get and Iguana sitter.

The import/export of exotic animals is very complicated for both countries. Check with animal control in your area, otherwise leave the creature at home.

you have to check it in a goverment office, because i think you need to have an special permit fot that www.semarnat.gob.mx this is the link of that office
