hey dizzle........i agree, dont let crazylove scare you. i go to mexico city almost every weekend, and have done so for several years. never had a problem. i live nearby (just west) in toluca. i'm as gringo as gringo gets with blond hair and blue eyes. mind your p's and q's like you would in any big city out of or in your home country. the airport is easy. lots of english and english speakers. everybody is super helpful. just keep your questions basic, dont use 'phrasal verbs' (two word verbs, like sit down, get in, etc.) those are very confusing at times for second language learners. speak clearly and not too quickly. wait a moment for an answer if the person isnt fluent. they may just be processing what you said for a moment. have fun, good luck.

It's very easy!!!
Every employee at every store, counter or booth can help you in English.
If you're taking a taxi to the city, look for the booth that sells prepaid taxis to the city by zone, or if you just wing it, agree on the taxi fare before you get in.
I found it very safe, nothing to worry about, but just don't walk around looking like ZsaZsa Gabor flashing your jewels.
The Zona Rosa and the neighborhoods around it are good places to stay, eat, shop, etc.
The Parque Alameda, the Zocalo, the Cathedral, and the old Aztec city next to the Cathedral, are best seen during the day.
Don't let Crazy scare you.

You won't have any problems. Most people at the airport speak English, and all the signs are written in both Spanish and English. Good luck.

Yes! I have been there many, many time and hate the airport. That is why I now drive to Mexico. I have bee in all major cities and many of the small ones and nothing compares with that airport. It is terrible.

Everyone knows English in the airport, ha! what a joke! people only know how to say one or two things, take a guide book and be patient if you dont know Spanish. You may run in to many bilingual tourists that can help you.

they do speak english but can be sorta choppy. we were there last year and it was no problem. overall everyone we spoke to was very easy to talk to......especially the time share sharks! be aware of the people as soon as you get your luggage and walk thru the open door. there will be 10 of them ready for you!
hope you have a great time! going thru customs there was such a breeze i thought it was a joke. i think we went thru more crap in st louis's airport going to PV then we did leaving PV.

It is no problem at all. 99% of the time when you're checking in at the airport, the airline people will automatically speak to you in English if they think you're a native English speaker.

Most, believe it or not, speak english. Be careful, try not to speak the language. It differs. You don't want to compliment and find out later that you just offended someone. Most should speak english.
