I am English and a few months ago I moved to Co. Monaghan from UK. Now I feel like a change and want to move to somewhere else in Ireland. Any recommendations you may have and reasons for re-locating there would be much appreciated.

I've tried most searches on line to no avail and hoping someone has been in the same situation with a successful outcome.

I have written a letter in English, but I need it to be re written in Gaelic because that is the only language my Poppy speaks. My grandmother is no longer alive and my family is not fluent in the language anymore.

I've just been listening to 'The Fields of Athenry' a beautiful, haunting song, could anyone tell me where Athenry is in Ireland, and is it famous for anything else other than the song.

They had a program on about English people living in Ireland complaining that they are not liked. One guy complaining about a pub he was in that muted the TV when the English national anthem was been played.

Who here thinks these people have a right to complain as after all when the Irish went to England for work they were treat for worse but not as bad as they were treated in the US.

I am looking for two or three Irish 1 Pound coins for a project. I'm interested in the version minted from 1990 to 1999, with the Deer on the front and the harp on the back. Since Ireland switched to the Euro, they've become impossible to find. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm a male. I'm 19 ys old, and I'm a 1st generation Irish American. Both my parents r from Ireland & r both ethnically Irish. I love only one country though & that country is America. I have no political or national loyalty 2 Ireland only 2 America. I understand that Americans intermarry w/people of different ethnic origins (like German, Polish, & English 4 example) & races (Asian, Black, Hispanic etc.), but since I have pure origins I don't want 2 break that apart (and people don't tell me about how the Irish are made up of Celts, Danes, Anglo-Saxon etc. because i know and thats what makes the Irish irish---those combinations made what we know as the Irish so there is such a thing as being pure Irish). Like I said though i won't break that up. I will only marry and produce someone who is of 100% Irish origin . I'm an American only but I want to carry on this Irish ethnic pureness. R there any pure Irish-Americans out there or other pure ethnic Americans who wish to do the same thing?
