Where is the best value for money place to stay at in dublin, need somewhere close to the pubs and nightlife?

I knew some people from New Zealand who stayed at Globetrotter's. They said it was really nice and you get a full cooked Irish breakfast with teh price of the room. There is a left-luggage facility for free and parking for 10 euro a day if you need.
It is off O'Connell Street and near the Busaras and Connolly stations. It goes from over 110 euro a night for a private ensiuite to about 35 euro a night for an 8-bed dorm (male or female). All dormitories have en-suite showers and toilets, even the multi-bed dorms. They provide linens and have towels for hire.

An American friend of mine stayed at Avalon House on Aungier Street. This is in the south city centre 5 minutes from St. Stephen's shopping centre and near Dame Street and Grafton Street. You can easily walk to Temple Bar from there. Depends on when you stay, but low season, a single private ensuite is 30-35 euro and a mixed dorm is about 17 euro per night. Price includes small breakfast, linens and showers. They have lockers to put your bags for a small fee.

If you don't like hostels, the cheapest hotel that I know in the city centre is the Mespil. It is about 25-30 min from Temple Bar, but you can take a bus (No. 10 Bus) there and a taxi back. Rooms are from € 115.25. The aircoach stop to and from Dublin airport is nearby. This is a regular coach service from Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre- Ballsbridge / Donnybrook stop. The hotel is quiet. Hotels right in the city centre (e.g., Temple Bar) are noisy at night. Also, this hotel is handy because you are near a Tesco (grocery store), Burger King, Johnny Rockets, and a petrol station.

Another hotel i know of that is off O'Connell Street and in the city centre is the Celtic Lodge. It is right above the Celt Bar on Talbot Street. The rooms are ensuite, but small. Bed & Breakfast is about 95 euros low season. Within a 5 minute walk from both Connolly train Station and Bus Arás (central bus station). About 10-15 min across the Liffey from Temple Bar area.

value for money? in Dublin? sorry but there is no such thing

I guess somewhere near the city centre is where you will find most night life. I heard there are some decent places to stay around temple bar, only problem with this might be the noise you will have to deal with. There arn't really any other "clubbing" areas in Dublin. Almost anywhere in Dublin 2 should be where you are looking for as that is where all the nightlife is

The Hairy Lemon off Grafton Street (near St Stephens green shopping centre) serve stew, as does the Porter house in Parliament street, they also have music on a Friday night, and possible all other nights too. I think there is a trad music festival on at the minute, so you should have music everywhere, (but I thinks its over this week) For music try The Cobblestones in Smithfield, of the Merchant on the Quays, that pub is in a different time zone, its worth a look....

YMCA? Salvation Army? Youth Hostel Association? Close to pubs? In Dublin? You cannot be serious. Clubbing? Same as any other city in the Western Hemisphere. Cmon guys. A simple search on any decent engine will give hundreds of results. Why not put a bit of work into it yourself?

Hi, I have got an apartment just off O'Connell St. so it's near all the nightlife and shop's i got it through Hotel Finder, we are only staying for 1 night and it has cost us for 4 adults £21.75 each, i got my flights through Ryanair and they have cost £20.00 return. There are a lot of apartments to rent in Dublin.

I stayed at the abbey hostel on bachelors walk, right across the river from the temple bar area. We had a private double ensuite and it was only 25 euros each, so 50 a night. It was clean and cheap. Even included towels and maid service. Check their website for the midweek specials.
