I'm going to Prague in Feb (yes cold i know!!) with my boyfriend and we're looking for cheap accommodation. Preferably in the Old Town or somewhere close to Wenceslas square. Basically somewhere where we can walk to the centre. Don't mind if its a hotel or apartment just as long as it's not a hostel! Pricewise i was hoping for between £30 and £45 at most per night. (roughly 45 euro to 65 euro) We're going for 4 nights. I really need help. There's soooo many to choose from but would like to hear from people who've been b4 so i know the accommodation is clean!! Tried a few travel agents but think they're too dear. Any ideas anybody?

I used to have an ORANGE CD. The singer is TARKAN. from TURKEY.
One of the songs in the CD was KISS KISS.

I'll be travelling to following Balkan cities in following months and need some tips about cities:

Sofia, Bulgaria
Bucharest, Romania
Timisoara, Romania
Ljubljana , Slovenia
Belgrade, Serbia
Podgorica, Montenegro
Zagreb, Croatia
Valetta, Malta
Skopje, Macedonia
Nicosia, Cyprus

Tips I need are:

1. Are taxis safe? After I landed to an airport, can I pick a taxi to the hotel?
2. What currenty is accepted? Euro accepted?
3. Can I find a taxi from the street or should I call a taxi station? Is there a taximeter or it's a bargain?
4. How about taxi fares? Airpot to city center for example?
5. Is it safe to take a walk around the hotel? I know this depends on the area but in average.
6. Are there english explanations in streest? Ecpecially for countries like Bulgaria, since alphabet used is different.
7. What's an average dinner cost?

I am an american now living in Brugges, Belgium. I have over 20 yrs experience in Tourism, but hard to find a job with my English language only. I am in the process of learning Dutch. Does anyone know of any call centers in Brussels, Antwerp, etc whereas I may apply for work? Ive spent alot of time and money for this move and have no plans to go back to the Usa. However, I have read that if you enter Kosovo from the Serbian border, then go to Macedonia and try and get back into Serbia (we plan to take the trian to Belgrade from Skopje) we will have problems as, by entering Kosovo, we will not get a Serbian exit stamp.

Any travel advice would be much appreciated.
