I'm 11 yrs old and we moved to this place(not mentioning it)about 4 years ago but I really want to go back to Perth.I miss all my friends and I miss our place.We will be going in 2-3 years but I want to go earlier!My dad is looking for a job but I don't think he's too desperate to get one, I know he's trying though and I'm thankful.But is there anyway to speed up the process?

Can anyone please advise on tipping for services out there please? Usual things ..... taxi drivers, service in restaurants and bars, room service etc ........ reason I ask is that I understand it's not the norm to tip anywhere out there but doing so for 'good service' will not offend. This seems to be a complete reverse to New York where tipping is almost compulsory!

.... and not a seasoned air traveller! Appreciate your advice on :
(1) We are getting our connecting flight at Dubai as a stopover for 2-3 hours where we will stay in the airport. Both journies will be with Emirates. Do we collect our bags as normal and re-check in on the connecting flight or are the bags automatically transferred for us?
(2) As the Oz voltage is the same, do we need adaptors for hairdryers, chargers etc?
May sound silly questions, but when you've never done it, you've never done it! Sensible answers only please..... cheers!
