voice of silence bullying is exactley why im taking my daughter out of school she has constantly harrassed since grade 1 and interschool sports then she went to highschool and had the same problems And about disabilities i guess thats why my ex'es daughter wasnt allowed to attend a PUBLIC school because she has mild autism and the school didnt want her there. (autism is a condition which makes communicatication difficult but they are still pretty much the same as kids without the disorder apparently einstien had autism and that didnt stop him from making the theory of relativity and saftey HA! i know a lady who was beaten to a pulp outside a primary school and the principle wouldnt call the cops because it would give the school a bad reputation. And lonlyness there are hundres of youth groups for kids to sosialise and groups host proms and for sport you can join a sport team
sorry im going on like a mad woman

Unfortunately although there are many resources easily available within the US it is not quite so easy to track down help elsewhere. In this case though a good place to start would be the WA Department of Education website at http://www.det.wa.edu.au/education/homeeducation/ which has a small section of its website devoted to homeschooling.

There is also quite a good introductory article on the subject of homeschooling at http://EzineArticles.com/?id=567347

Hope this helps.

hi, sorry this probably won't answer your question but i just wanted to say that if you are considering homeschooling cos you are worried about the quality or safety issues regarding schools in perth, then i would just like to reassure you that i've been to both a public (goverment) primary school and a private high school and there aren't really any serious cases of bullying/kids not fitting in etc. and I really enjoyed going to school!
if it is due to a disablity issue, both the schools i've been to have been really good with taking care of people in wheelchairs etc. and have readily accessible ramps/lifts etc. everywhere!
i'm not an expert on homeschooling but it seems like it'll be quite lonely and you'll miss out on all the fun school activities like interschool sports carnivals, xmas celebrations and school plays/music groups etc. and the chance to make lotza friends from different backgrounds and use school facilities like ovals and libraries etc.
please consider normal schooling over homeschooling!

Home schooling, as a means of ensuring sound Christian teaching, has not yet penetrated Australia as much as the USA.
