Mutton used to be commonly available but even hoggett is difficult to find these days, it's all lamb. You won't find mutton in a supermarket but if you have a friendly neighbourhood butcher, have a word with him/her. The butcher might be able to get some mutton for you but if not would most likely know where you could find it. Good luck.

The best way to buy Mutton is order though a butcher, like what "tentofield" mentioned. My sister-in -law sometime buys Mutton to make Irish stews at a butcher in Warwick shopping centre.
