Hi Girl,
Geez...such a tough one! You know, both are great cities and I really don't think you'd be disappointed in either!! They are nice large cities, very metropolitian, hip, beautiful, heaps to do, friendly people. It's a tough one! ....BUT....the bonus about living in Brissy is you are very close to the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise, plus close enough to travel to Sydney, Melbourne, the outback and further north to the Whitsunday Islands and Cairns. Perth is a huge city which has heaps...but you've got to travel quite a bit to get to the other side of Australia! And in a lot of cases, it's more expensive to fly from Perth the the east coast (and vice versa) than to fly from Perth and overseas! I think that that right there would sway me to go to Brissy!

Depends on your lifestyle.
Perth if you are happy in a "big country town" atmosphere. It's an extremely pretty city with great beaches - but a long way from the rest of the country.
Brisbane is great. It has everything, but is also not very far away from anything (except Perth!).
You're a hop step and a jump away from the Gold Coast and all the theme parks, and if you go about the same distance north, you have Noosa with it's trendy cafes, restaurants & shops! And both have great beaches too!
For me, if it was between Brisbane & Perth - I'd say Brisbane every time :)

They are both about the same size. Brisbane may be a little bigger and busier. Both are nice but Perth is rather isolated if you want to visit other areas. There aer a few nice places to visit along the west coast but it doesn't have the same potential as the east for beaches and islands and national parks and lots of places to visit. Better employment chances in Brisbane too.

GO TO BRISBANE!
Im living in Perth for 12 months - i just moved here from Queensland & im telling ya - DONT MOVE HERE!
Its boring, the people are rude, the drivers suck & there is nothing to do here! Plus its so far away from everything & everything is VERY expensive!

Perth is very expensive and a long, long way from anywhere else. It is also a long way from the Gold Coast which is probably a good thing unless you are into tacky seaside resorts.
