Where can i find temporary accommodation in Adelaide, Australia ? I would prefer a suburb that is close to the CBD and if possible, something that is reasonably priced. I only plan to stay in Adelaide for 1-2 months.

Do the real estate agents there do short term leases ?

Hi,

I have a new job in Sydney next year, and will be moving from Brisbane in January. It is my intention to find a place to share somewhere around the North Sydney area - Milson's Point looks particularly nice : ).

My question is: how competitive is the market for share housing? Will it be very hard to find a place to live? The main reason for asking is because I will need to come to Sydney several weeks in advance of starting work to find somewhere good, and would like to gauge how far in advance it might be necessary to come.

If it helps, here are some more specific details about the kind of place and sharemate that I'm looking for:

* Price range $200 - $300
* Male or female sharemate, 23-29 preferably
* Carpark not essential
* An apartment complex with a pool would be ideal

I've tried finding a comprehensive business listing guide for Sydney, but all I get here in the US is cra**y irrelevant results, and ads for my local area (it's their way of 'helping', it works about as well as our Gov't.), so I can't find a business I was looking for. If someone could suggest a good local site with a comprehensive listing I would be grateful. Hope you all are having a lovely day down south. We have fly from Brisbane to Adelaide on a certain date in February. Do they release cheaper pricing closer to the date or sell the cheap seats first (ie, now) and know that business people will pay full fare later & fill the plane up? I guess my question is, do I buy my ticket now or wait and hope the prices do not get any higher? I hav watched them increase over the last 2 months.
