I really want to get out of here and move to Melbourne before I finish school in 2 years but I am having trouble convincing my parents and I am getting very frustrated.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how I could convince them that this move would be a good idea?

? you never said how old or where you are? are you talking high school or college? you could tell them there are better educational/cultural oppotunities.
what is the rush? just wait until you're done college and can get a good job.
as for people that make ignorant comments like, "it's a craphole", you just shows you're immaturity. where do you live that is so great?

Tell your parents that you got a job offer or something...
Our family was in melbourne for a month once, then we moved back to adelaide
