Gold Coast is obviously famous for its world class beaches. The beach stretches south from 'the Spit' for about 60km to Coolangatta. Surfers Paradise is considered the central district of the Gold Coast and boasts great nightlife comparable to the big cities of Australia. During peak times such as school holidays, it's best to avoid the Surfers Paradise beach. The lesser known Gold Coast hinterland offers spectacular mountain scenery and plenty of walking trails. There are also 5 major theme parks located on the Gold Coast. WhiteWater World, Dreamworld, Movie World and Wet 'n 'wild are located to the north of Surfers Paradise by the Pacific Motorway. Seaworld is at the Southport spit.

I live on the Gold Coast, there so much to see and do here for all sized families, theme parks seem to be right up there on top of the must do list ...but unfortunately money and costs would play a big part in which park or parks to do.
Our beaches are great always fun there and not much cost involved a bit of lunch, drinks and SUNSCREEN.

I will post a couple of links, so as a family before you arrive you can plan ahead on things to see and do including how much money would be involved in activities.
Have a great time,I'm sure you will all love it.....

there is so much to do on the gold coast, lapping up the weather and the beaches, taking in the atmosphere, night markets, cavell mall, the theme parks, the bird sanctuary, the wax museum, of course it can be pretty expensive for large families when a" family entry" usually consists of 2 adults, 2 children. but it has it all on offer, i love the gold coast. cheers.
