My wife and myself would like to experience traveling on caravan/campervan in WA but do not know what are the important things to look for when hiring one. Would anyone out there share your experience or recommend any good information on website. Things like planning the journey, cost estimation, safety, choosing the right size of caravan/campervan ..etc. Estimated traveling time around 9 days.

Hi all.
I'm seriously considering taking a sabbatical to Australia and New Zealand. Book passage on a freighter. Take my time in your beautiful countries. What would you recommend that is not typically touristy.
Also, what is your take on Canadians? :)

We're planning on going to Australia in June/July 2007 for three weeks. We're visiting family near Sydney but then want to travel probably up to Brisbane and then to Alice Springs. Does anybody know of any good, reliable companies to hire camper vans from, which aren't too expensive? Are there any companies to avoid? Any other tips, things to look out for etc? Any info is much appreciated!!

My wife and I are planning to spend 2 weeks driving around New Zealand, 1 week on the South Island, and 1 week on the North Island, although that is not set in stone if we choose to spend more time on one island than the other. We would appreciat any and all input.

I'm considering moving to New Zealand from the US and have been trying to do some homework before I make the decision. One thing that I have looked into is cell phone service.

HOLY SMOKES!!!

Am I finding the right websights? It looks like you guys are paying an arm and a leg for very little service time. Yes I've done the conversion to US dollars. Yikes!

I currently have T-mobile and I get 600 anywhere anytime minutes, with free night and weekend and ten cent text messages.

This works out fairly well for me, so I wouldn't mind something similar. Could someone clarify for me what the average rate is there and point me out to those sites?

Thanks.
