péninsule is peninsula in French, Halbinsel is the same in German. penisola (Italian). or you could go for something like "by the bay" in another langauge, like spanish would be "por la bahía"
Or "par la baie" (french) or "dalla baia" (Italian) Or "seaside" could translate to "orilla de mar" (Spanish) or you could even play on the near-and-next-to thing by translating 'middle ground' to "secondo piano" (Italian) or "terreno propicio" (Spanish)
Or you might like to try any other language that takes your fancy, perhaps from the country of your family's decent.

I'd try and find landmarks in the area to associate it too as well. like animals or native life. Could try for bays point, bays cubby point, sky neutral or bays edge.
