My wife and myself would like to experience traveling on caravan/campervan in WA but do not know what are the important things to look for when hiring one. Would anyone out there share your experience or recommend any good information on website. Things like planning the journey, cost estimation, safety, choosing the right size of caravan/campervan ..etc. Estimated traveling time around 9 days.

Instead of hiring a caravan and a car, you should hire an RV. You will save alot of money by combining the cost of hiring a car and caravan.

There are lots of sites you can look at to choose a vehicle.

Some that come to mind are:
www.britz.com.au
www.maui.com.au
www.campertravel.com.au/index.asp

You will want linen, cooking pots, pans and utensils (maybe a bbq?), seating and a table at a minimum.

The cost will depend upon the type of vehicle you choose and the insurance you choose.

Good luck with your journey. Road trips are my very favourite way to see the world.
