I was planning on renting a vehicle and also taking the greyhound for some areas, i would like to travel all over oz. any ideas on routes? and any other tips to travel on a budjet would hepl!!!!

Politics Question for the Aussies

If I do not understand politics and I do not want to vote, how come I will get fined for not voting?

I mean it wouldn't be fair if I am not 'into politics' or understand them - what do you think?

i am currently travelling around australia for a year. one of the main things i want to do while here is the whitsundays and fraser island. at the moment i am in brisbane. i have a camper van and am travelling the whole way around oz. where would be the best and cheapest place to stop off to book the trip

Hey -- I'm a teenager and I'm going to Austrlia for a year.. I was just wondering about drinking there. Do people frown upon it or what? Cause I know in other countries teens just walk in to clubs and can buy it in the stores.. So I was just wondering how it is there? I don't understand Australian Accent. I have an Aussie friend who I met last year and I've been talking to him a lot lately on phone but the thing is I don't understand the accent completely. I can catch some stuff but not everything. I feel bad when he's talking and I don't understand and I just have to reply with a SURE !! How can I understand the Aussie accent better?
