I lived in Woomera, South Australia in the late 70's and early 80's. I was just curious if anyone out there lived there, too, during this time.

Go to Jon Blake's personal website or access him through radio 5aa website. While you are on jonblake.com.au checkout "beccy" from Dublin radio and he had a good thing on his site about easy tips for paralel parking. Oh, the main point, Blakey, whose real name is Odlum lived in Woomera as a kid. I think his father may have been an electrical engineer at the rocket range.

My husband lived there for several years but left in '76 to join the army. I guess that was one of the only real ways out of Woomera. Contact me and I can give you his name if you were there during that time.
