If you want to work in Australia legally (or even just come to Australia for a holiday), then you need a visa. Look at http://www.immi.gov.au for information on the working holiday visa. Of course, you can always try and find someone who will employ you illegally on a tourist visa but if you get caught you will be deported from Australia and it will be very hard to get back in.

You must have a visa to work in Australia. If you don't, you will be held in prison before being deported. They call them "detention centres" but they are prisons. All illegal immigrants end up there.

You may still need a work visa. Check with an Australian embassy or agency in your area.
