With all the speculation, one wonders why this is not posted on the paranormal phenomenon section...
My wife is convinced the three must have gone for a swim and gotten seperated from their boat. I disagree. I would rather speculate they were beamed aboard an alien spacecraft. When (or if???) the truth ever comes out, it will be interesting to know the answers. It would be intresting to be able to participate in the investigation of an event like this. It is sad for the families involved. The news item I saw indicatd they were from WA- Can't help but think of their families.

I don't know what happened, at the moment there isn't even enough to speculate.

In the newspaper today they said everything was in working order and nothing was out of place. There was a laptop on and working, there was even food on the set table ready to be eaten. Three EPIRBs were still onboard and the only thing gone was the liferaft. Why would they leave if it was an emergency and not take an EPIRB or even just set one off?

It's all a little weird.

I believe that some bold pirates from Indonesia or Papau New Guinea plucked the crew off the catamaran just outside the Great Barrier Reef then were robbed and murdered. It's definitely not one of those happy ending stories.

All sounds a bit suspicious if you ask me.

I really do home they find them alive and well, but I think maybe they don't want to be found.

By the way, Adrift was an awesome movie. They forgot to put the ladder down when they went swimming and couldn't reach the deck.

Ever seen the true story movie 'Adrift' (or also known as Open Water 2: Adrift) - I think they went for a swim and forgot to put their ladder down, therefore couldn't get back up on the boat.

It's a great movie for anyone that wants to see it!

Maybe a bad storm washed the poor people overboard, so sad for their families especially as the search has now been called off.

All I know about it is what was on the news last night. I have no idea what happened and nor, at this stage, does anyone else as far as I know. I will, however, wait for further information rather than make assumptions or jump to conclusions.
