Hello,

I found a internship opportunity in Hong Kong for a year.
My salary will be 7000HKD, and the firm found me a room to rent for around 2100 HKD (I don't know if people in HongKong pay taxes for water, electricty, apartmant fees or is it included??)
So apart from that, do you think that I could manage to live there with that amount of money? or is it too low?
As far as I heard, 3000 HKD would be enough for one months food costs,
so except my rent and food, I will have 1900 HKD for living, for taxes (if there are any) and for social stuff..

what do you think??

OK, so you're on stage, you've got a speech memorized and everything is going well. Then it hits you like a cold wet-towel in the face... you forgot the rest of the speech. Words come out of your mouth and you are trying to make sense of the impromptu chain of thoughts you can come up with at the moment. Then you realize that what you're saying is pure bull. Nothing makes sense anymore. For the remainder of your time on stage, you're starting to wish your father wore a condom.

Happened to me in an oratorical contest in high school and haunts me to this day. Then I saw a short piece of video on youtube that made me re-live that nightmare...

Any thoughts on this?

Can anyone here give me an idea of what the starting salary of someone with an MBA would be? Let's say the person is a graduate of De Lasalle(RCBC) or Ateneo(Rockwell).

This question is directed to Manila residents however people from around the world are welcome to share their thoughts.

The ideal answer would be a ballpark amount in PHP pesos/month.

I work in a restaurant in Los Angeles and lately we've been having a lot of Japanese customers who are extremely nice, friendly, and polite but someone pointed out that it's all an act and as soon as they leave they'll be saying "oh what a dumb American" and things like that. Is any of this true?

Yahoo:

By discouraging people from using their native languages, ESPECIALLY in their own nation's version of Yahoo!Answers, you are becoming cultural imperialists. Language is an extremely strong part of people's cultures. By only supporting English, you are actively working to force others to conform to Western (specifically American) ways of expressing themselves. There is no harm in people speaking their own languages on their nation's version of Yahoo!Answers. Those who type questions in Tagalog are aware that only people who understand Tagalog can answer. You say they are "missing out" because the English-speakers cannot help them, but maybe everyone else is missing out because you don't allow that person to answer/ask questions in Tagalog (or whatever language)! Why do you assume that English-speakers have better answers than non-English speakers?

Do you agree?
