The root word agnas comes from the word "to crumble"; as in "crumble to its mother earth" ("maangas sa inang lupa").

actually it is an actual word... meaning boastful and cocky.

It is not a Kanto word. It is an Official tagalog word..... such as sirotso....kaspego.....paglulon ng banig...... and the likes....

most of the ancient tagalog words are forgotten....

Came from the word "tanga", meaning stupid.
