Hi , can anyone tell me which is the best site to get your name translated free to japanese?? There's so many and I've found millions of versions of my name I'm not sure which one is the most reliable. Thanks in advance!

That's question one.

Question Two is:
Are there certain suburban areas/small cities in Japan where you absolutely MUST have a car?

I won't live in the countryside, so that's out of the question. If I live in a big city like Tokyo or Osaka, I won't drive at all. But will living in a smaller city, like Kumamoto, Aomori or Morioka require a car? Or will I be able to get around perfectly fine by buses and trains in those places?

(About myself: I can't drive and I come from a place where public transport is popular. I'm thinking about learning to drive, and I'm in the UK right now, where manual cars predominate and public transport outside London is barely adequate at best.)

THANKS!! =)

My verizon phone is set up correctly for International dialing yet I cannot contact another verizon phone (US) while that person is traveling in Thailand. I've tried 011-66-1203+number, 011-66-8-203+number and various other combinations. Has anyone been successful in doing this?

Hi Thailand folks. My friend is thinking about taking a job in Prachin Buri, about 40 or so km northeast of Bangkok. We are only finding a tiny bit about it online, nobody we know has much info. Do any of you? Peanutz, I asked for you 'cause you have great answers :) If you've been there, what do you think of it for a single, 27 year old girl with only an elemantary grip on the language? Thanks!

I sent a Global priority Mail package to my filipina girlfriend, and unfortunately I put down 425 instead of 452. What will happen next? I understand that if the package is undeliverable, it'll be sent back to me at no charge, in which case I'd rather have it sent back to me so I can change the address, and resend it, than risk the alternatives. She's going to try to find the incorrect address so they can give the package to her when it arrives.

I just need advice on these places as I'm torn between visiting them or skipping it. Did my research and found out that Osaka seems to have nothing much. Nikko looks interesting and fun. Many say it is pointless to travel to Mt Fuji as it's nothing but a mountain (and that's it!).

I will be here in Bangkok for 2 years, I dont work and I am looking for things to do that will help me in the future. I am currently taking chinese but that's only twice a week. I want to keep me busy, like sewing classes, cooking classes (not the ones from hotel, those are so expensive) or something else.

I have been looking for things online but so far I have found information for tourism only. Please advise me.

All showerheads in Japan are handheld, so I can't use my regular filter back home. Therefore, I'd like to know if an American handheld shower filter will be compatible in Japan.
