I'm interested in a career as a flight attendant, but I'd like to know if you must relocate to where ever they station you, or can you commute from your home. Almost all of the hiring airlines state that you must relocate, but they don't mention whether commuting is an option.

I am looking at buying a plane ticket that departs on Monday. Is there a possibility that the ticket would jump or fall in price between now and Sunday?
Also, this flight overselling is very unlikely.

I flew business class from Amsterdam to Austin and my bag has now been lost for 5 days. What is the typical compensation for this? Is there a set amount? Does it matter that I had about $4500 worth of photography equipment and clothes in the bag? It was an American Airlines flight, operated by British Airways.

There have been so many changes with airport regulations as to what one can take in their carry on luggage... obviously i know you can't carry firearms and aerosol cans... But what are some new items that are no longer allowed on the plane??? I heard you can't even take contact lens solution on a plane anymore!!!

People use the argument that we have many more suto accidents every year than plane crashes to support this theory. but do these auto accidents include fender benders and the like. Do they consider how many people were in the car and how many people survived? How many people usually walk away from a airplane accident as opposed to a auto accident? there are so many reasons I can think of that car travel and even train travel is much safer. It will take a lot longer but at least I will be in one peace when I get there or if I get there. I just wanted other people's opinions on this.

Okay maybe it's a silly question, but I live in the UK at the moment and the thought of getting on a plane and traveling to Germany frightens me. I am aware of all the statsitics that air travel is the safest form of transport, but I am still frightened.

We aren’t really fighting a war with terror, we are losing a struggle with political correctness. It is not so much the evil of outsiders; it is the cowardice of Americans.
The cowardice that won’t let us call a spade a spade, the makes us all live in an alternate reality, that puts survival secondary to servility. We are fighting World War III with one arm tied behind our back.
Political correctness has sanitized this fight to such an extent that we are not allowed to even identify the enemy. Which is not toothpaste. It is Islam. An Islam practiced by tens of millions of people around the world and which repeatedly and consistently puts armies and cells of terrorists in action around the world. How many terrorist acts have been committed involving
liquids carried onto airplanes by passengers? Answer: Zero.
How many terrorist acts involving airliners have been
committed by Muslims? Answer: All of them.
Why are we focused on liquids instead of Muslims? Answer: Beats me!
