Get ready for a very long very boring trip, It'll take about two to three months with nothing to do but look out the window and watching the earth getting smaller and Mars getting bigger. Until you get there.

Then sense you can't possibly stay there for more than a week at this time you would do the same thing on the way back, All the books that you ever would have wanted to read will have been read, three or four times by the time you get back to earth.

Upon your return to the earth's surface, you won't be able to stand due to the prolonged periods of zero gravity.

Anyone that traveled with you will have become totally alienated to and by you, Close quarters can do that very rapidly.

Think about it, How much food would you have to pack for a six month (minimum) trip, with no rest stops on the way. and whatever goes in has to come out, Where would it all go?

yes it is, but they would have to spend a lot of time to give mars an atmosphere and possibly create additional gravity. It's much smaller than Earth, so you'd weigh about 1/3 of what you do here. That may sound cool, but because your body is doing 1/3 of the work, your bones and muscles would weaken because they're not working as hard.
I did a big long essay on the subject for my astronomy class. :)

If we could land people on the moon 37 years ago, technology has progressed enough to launch a manned mission to Mars. The problem is, how will it be financed. The problem isn't technology, the problem is that it will be very expensive.

I am assuming you mean putting a human on Mars, and of course it is possible. We could do it today if we wanted to.

Of course. Though we will go back to the Moon first. And of course, there's the matter of affordability. It will be expensive.
